  • Metro-North used to have a “Breakneck Ridge” stop; everyone files out a single door onto a small wooden platform and then onto Route 9. The trail feels like Madison Avenue for the first two miles, three New Yorkers within five feet, carrying dogs up wet scree. Six tired hours later you get a huge dinner in town.
