Los Angeles, California Map Blanket

$150
Materials: Cotton
  • A 100% cotton woven throw blanket for your couch, picnic, firepit or pet bed. Also looks great as a wall tapestry if you punch grommets into the edges.
  • Made to order in North Carolina, at your door within 5 business days.
  • Care instructions: wash in cold water, tumble dry low or line dry.
  • About the map – Tau Rho Alpha (for real, his daughter’s named Theta) illustrated beautiful physiographic maps for the U.S. Geological Survey until 2000, when they asked him to use a computer, and he retired. Cozy up with his illustrations of the Verdugos, the Hollywood hills, the San Gabriels, the port of Long Beach, the continental shelf, the topography given at least as much regard as all that asphalt.
  • Where the sunlight, nitrogen and ill-gotten water flow freely, where it never frosts, where the least hospitable patch of asphalt is shaded by the largest fig tree you’ve ever seen. Stick your face in the fence jasmine.
